- Fresh ginger root
- Water
- Lemon (optional)
- Honey (optional)
- 1Cut thin slices off of a fresh ginger root. You will need about one teaspoon of ginger per cup of tea.
- 2Place the sliced ginger into a pot or kettle.
- 3Add water and place the kettle on the stove on medium-high heat.
- 4Bring the water to a boil and then remove it immediately.
- 5Pour the tea into cups right away, using a strainer to catch the ginger slices.
